Ján Mazúr is the chief city strategist of the City of Bratislava, capital of Slovakia. He was previously CEO of the Metropolitan Institute of Bratislava, which works closely with the city government to implement urban development plans. Mazur’s other roles in Bratislava city leadership include deputy city manager. Earlier in his career, he was a lawyer in an investment company and a lawyer and compliance officer in an asset management company. Mazur also teaches in the field of public law and participates in research at Comenius University. The author or co-author of several research papers and publications, he led the creation of City Strategy Bratislava 2030 (2022) and the City Housing Policy 2020-2030 (2021). In his career, he has been mostly responsible for strategic management, urban and economic development, and climate agendas.
