Román Meyer Falcón is an architect and the former secretary of agrarian, territorial and urban development for Mexico, from 2018 to 2024. He oversaw a federal agency that has undertaken almost 1,300 projects and has received over 200 national and international awards and special mentions in architecture and urban planning. In his career, Meyer Falcón has specialized in sustainable economic development and urban planning with a social focus. Among his urban development projects is the El Rosario Cultural Center, in the Azcapotzalco borough of Mexico City, which promotes social integration through cultural and technological activities. He has also been professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where he taught social urban planning courses that promote crime prevention strategies and social inclusion in communities with high rates of crime and marginalization.
