Lamia Kamal-Chaoui is the director of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Center for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions, and Cities. She leads the center’s work to ensure all people, places, and businesses prosper from green and digital transitions. Prior to this, Kamal-Chaoui held senior positions at OECD, including senior advisor to the OECD secretary general and head of the OECD Directorate for Public Governance and Territorial Development’s urban program. During her extensive career at OECD, she has spearheaded initiatives such as the Roundtable for Mayors and Ministers, the Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth Coalition, and StandbyYouth. The author or co-author of hundreds of policy reports and articles, Kamal-Chaoui has also lectured at Sciences Po Paris for the governing large metropolises master’s program. Her honors include the Woman of the Decade in Enterprise and Leadership Award from the Women's Economic Forum.
