Daniela Peñaloza

Daniela Peñaloza is a psychologist and the mayor of the municipality of Las Condes, in Santiago Province in Chile. In office since January 2021, her main priority has been the safety of those who and travel through Las Condes, with a network of more than 2,800 cameras and projects on safe highways and protected schools. Peñaloza joined the municipality of Las Condes in 2018 as deputy director of community development to design and implement social programs. Previously, she worked at the Jaime Guzmán Foundation, an NGO focused on public service, where she coordinated a program to assign young leaders to the neediest municipalities in Chile. Peñaloza earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University and is the first woman mayor of Las Condes.
