Brett Smiley is the mayor of Providence, Rhode Island. His priorities include addressing public safety, affordable housing, education, and climate resiliency through strategic investments and data-driven solutions. Previously, Smiley was head of the Rhode Island Department of Administration. Prior to this, he was chief of staff for former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo. Earlier in his career, Smiley was the chief operating officer of Providence.
