Adriana Diaz is a national correspondent for CBS News and anchor of the Saturday edition of ""CBS Weekend News.” Her reporting has covered COVID-19 wards, Chicago gun violence, the Flint, MI, water crisis, and migrants traveling to the United States from Mexico. Prior to this, Diaz was the Asia correspondent for CBS News based in Beijing, where she reported on U.S.-Chinese relations, Chinese politics, science, and culture. She also reported from inside North Korea, the Korean Demilitarized Zone, South Korea, Japan, and Laos. Previously, Diaz was a CBS Newspath correspondent, reported for Channel One News, and hosted Yahoo's ""Trending Now"" web show. She was part of the CBS News teams that won an Emmy for a documentary on the Parkland, FL, student movement and an Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for outstanding breaking news coverage of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT.
