Aleksandra Dulkiewicz is the mayor of Gdańsk, Poland. Prior to this, she was the acting mayor of Gdańsk, following the assassination of former Mayor Paweł Adamowicz in 2019. Previously, Dulkiewicz was the head of Mayor Adamowicz’s electoral staff and deputy for economic policy. She began her career as assistant to Mayor Adamowicz, taking part in Gdańsk’s preparations for the 2012 European football championship and creation of the European Solidarity Center. President of the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot metropolitan area management board and a Union of Polish Metropolises management board member, Dulkiewicz also chairs Working Group Ukraine and is a European Committee of the Regions member
