Andrew Ginther is mayor of the City of Columbus, OH. Committed to opportunities for every Columbus resident, his initiatives include advancing the well-being of women in the workplace, realizing policing reforms, and expanding universal pre-kindergarten. Ginther is also working to provide reliable, consistent transportation options so that all Columbus residents have convenient, equitable access to jobs, education, and health care. Prior to this, he was a member of Columbus City Council from 2007 to 2015, and was council president for the last eight years of his tenure there. Previously, Ginther was elected to the Columbus Board of Education in 2001 and re-elected in 2005. Earlier in his career, he taught nonviolence and dispute resolution at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta.
