Anthony Foxx is the Emma Bloomberg professor of the practice of public leadership at Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to this, he was chief policy officer and an executive leadership team member at Lyft. Previously, Foxx was secretary of the United States Department of Transportation, where he led efforts to advance new transportation technologies, promote public-private partnerships, and address past inequities in transportation decision-making. Before that, he was the mayor of Charlotte, NC, and oversaw the city’s emergence from the Great Recession. Foxx has been a guest expert on CNN, CBS’s “Morning Show,” Fox Business, and MSNBC; his commentary has appeared in The Washington Post, Newsweek, and The Chicago Tribune, among others.
