Beth Blauer is the associate vice provost for public sector innovation at Johns Hopkins University. She is also the data lead for Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center and an associate professor of practice at Carey Business School. Prior to this, Blauer was the founder and executive director of the Center for Government Excellence at Johns Hopkins University. Previously, she designed and launched Socrata’s GovStat platform for federal, state, and local governments. Earlier in her career, Blauer was director of StateStat and the Maryland governor's delivery unit and, before that, chief of staff for the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services.
