Diana Rodríguez Franco is the secretary for women’s affairs for the City of Bogotá, Colombia. Previously, she was a deputy director and researcher at the Center for the Study of Law, Justice, and Society, where she focused on citizen participation, forced displacement, access to health, and environmental policy. Prior to this, Franco was a law professor at University of the Andes. Her publications include Trial of Exclusion: The impact of courts on social rights in the Global South, Radical Deprivation on Trial: The Impact of Judicial Activism on Socioeconomic Rights in the Global South, and Internal Wars, Taxation, and State Building. She also founded the Raising Peace campaign to help pregnant and lactating ex-combatant women transition to peace. Franco holds a PhD and a master's in sociology from Northwestern University and law and economy degrees from University of the Andes.
