Eleni Myrivili is global chief heat officer at UN-Habitat, the United Nations' program for human settlements and sustainable urban development. A senior advisor and senior fellow at Arsht Rockefeller Foundation Resilience Center preparing cities for extreme heat through climate adaptation and mitigation strategies, she is also an expert on the EU Mission Board for Adaptation of the European Commission. Prior to this, Myrivili was chief heat officer for the City of Athens, Greece. Previously, she was deputy mayor of Athens, where she designed the Athens Resilience Strategy for 2030, and an assistant professor at the University of the Aegean. Myrivili’s recognition includes being named one of Politico’s 28 most influential Europeans for 2022.
