Eric S. Lee is the founder and publisher of Skylight, an online magazine reporting on those driving the clean energy transition in New York City. Through these stories, the publication builds a roadmap to decarbonization where the work is most challenging: in old apartment buildings. A policy entrepreneur and expert in urban policy, Eric has launched several organizations that have had an enduring impact in New York City and nationally. Before Skylight, he founded Bennett Midland LLC, collaborating with mayors and government leaders to address community development, criminal justice, and urban planning issues. Eric also served as a senior policy advisor to Mayor Michael Bloomberg, developing initiatives to strengthen public safety policies. Before that, he co-founded the Center for Justice Innovation, a think tank focused on building a restorative justice system and reducing jail overuse in the U.S.
