José Luis Martínez-Almeida Navasqüés is the Mayor of Madrid. His political career began during the 2015/2017 legislature, when he served as a councillor on the Madrid City Council. He was the spokesperson of the Popular Municipal Group in the City Council from 2017 to 2019, and became the party's National Spokesperson in 2020. His previous roles include director general of Historical Heritage of the Community of Madrid, Secretary General of SEPIDES, and Secretary General of the Governing Council of the Community of Madrid.
