José Merino is the founder and head of the government of Mexico City’s Digital Agency for Public Innovation. He works to strengthen digitalization, open government, development and infrastructure, simplification of procedures and services, connectivity, and information systems. Prior to this, Merino founded Data Civica, a civil society organization advancing data and technologies use by human rights organizations. Previously, he founded Data4, a company dedicated to data generation, analysis, and visualization.
