Julián Gallardo

Julián Gallardo is an architect and the deputy mayor and city manager of Renca, in Chile’s Santiago Province. In this role, he oversees city operations and implements policies aimed at sustainable urban development, efficient public services and community empowerment. He also manages the city’s infrastructure projects and financial operations and coordinates with various departments to ensure effective governance. Previously, Gallardo was an analyst in the Department of Vulnerable Groups Assistance at Chile’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. Prior to that, he was head of the Housing and Construction Department for the municipality of Pedro Aguirre Cerda in the Santiago metro region. Gallardo is also founder and director of 99 Foundation, which focuses on empowering communities through evidence-based projects that enhance local networks and capacities.
