Co-Founder of We ACT Radio

Kymone Freeman is the co-founder of We Act Radio, an independent, progressive radio and TV studio in Washington, D.C. Based in historic Anacostia since 2011, it amplifies the voices and stories not heard in the corporate media. We Act also has established a community garden and the Charnice Milton Community Bookstore. Freeman is also a playwright with several productions to his credit, including his most recent, The Night Michael Jackson Died. A community activist, he has led the Black L.U.V. Festival since 1997 and offers media arts training to at-risk youth.
