Leah Tivoli is director of innovation and performance at the City of Seattle, Washington. With a leadership mission to make government more effective, equitable, responsive and centered on the people the city serves, she works with a team specializing in data science, evaluation, project management and human-centered design. Tivoli has worked at the City of Seattle for 17 years, previously as deputy director for innovation and performance and in multiple roles in Seattle’s Parks and Recreation Department, including manager of environmental stewardship and sustainability. She is an affiliate professor at University of Washington in the Master of Infrastructure Planning and Management Program. She has concurrent master’s degrees in environmental health and public administration as well as training from the Stanford d.School in designing for social systems.
