Linda Gibbs is a principal as Bloomberg Associates for social services. She previously held multiple roles in New York City government. From 2005 to 2013, Gibbs was deputy mayor for health and human services, where she spearheaded initiatives on poverty alleviation, juvenile justice reform and obesity reduction and improved the use of data and technology in human service management, contract effectiveness and program development. Prior to this, she was commissioner of the New York City Department of Homeless Services from 2002 to 2005 and held senior positions with the New York City Administration for Children’s Services and the Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget. Gibbs co-authored the book, “How Ten Global Cities Take on Homelessness.” She’s been a distinguished visiting urbanist at NYU Wagner and senior fellow at Results for America.
