Louise Cheesman is director of buses at Transport for London, England. There, she leads the transition of buses from diesel to zero-emission electric lithium batteries and hydrogen fuel cells, tracking and evaluating the vehicles using artificial intelligence and diagnostic data. Prior to this, Cheeseman was managing director at Hull Trains, where she achieved improvements in performance and customer experience while overseeing the introduction of a fleet of environmentally friendly trains. Previously, she was a train guard for Hull Trains and held operations and safety roles at Serco Docklands and the Metroline tram network in Manchester.
