María Ortiz Pérez is managing director of the Energy and Environment Program at the Aspen Institute. Previously, she was deputy chief of staff of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and worked in the executive office of the United Nations Economic Commission for Western Asia. Prior to this, Pérez managed the transparency and accountability programs at Pioneer Institute for Public Policy Research. She has also collaborated on several global governance, climate change, and sustainable development publications.
