Oleg Polovynko is the digitalization advisor to the mayor of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Prior to this, he was the city’s chief information officer, leading implementation of the Kyiv Digital Strategy and development of the Kyiv Digital app, which has received several World Smart City awards and became a life-saving tool after the 2022 Russian invasion. With 20 years’ experience in tech and degrees in management and engineering, Polovynko was previously CEO of product-development company RockIT and CEO and cybersecurity chief of IT services company Integrity Vision. A tech investor and entrepreneur, he believes digitalization brings efficiency to processes, transparency to negotiations and lays the foundation for a happy future.
