Amna Nawaz is chief correspondent for PBS “NewsHour,” where she is also a substitute anchor. Prior to this, she was an anchor and correspondent at ABC News; covering breaking news, she also led the network’s digital coverage of the 2016 presidential election. Previously, Nawaz was a foreign correspondent at NBC News, with her work appearing on “Nightly News,” “The Today Show,” “Dateline,” MSNBC, and MSNBC.com. She began her career as a Nightline Fellow at ABC News. A 2009 International Reporting Project fellow, her recognition includes an Emmy, a Peabody, and a Society for Features Journalism award.
