Andrea Mechelli is a Professor of Early Intervention in Mental Health at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King’s College in London, U.K., and a clinical psychologist working in the National Health Service. Mecehelli’s research involves the use of smartphone technologies and machine learning to investigate the impact of the surrounding built and social environment on mental health in real time and real-life contexts. He is the leading investigator on Urban Mind, a cross-disciplinary project that brings together neuroscientists, clinicians, urban planners and designers, and architects and artists with a shared interest in urban mental health.
