Asma Khan is a chef and activist. She is the owner of the restaurant Darjeeling Express, which features an all-female kitchen. Profiled on Netflix’s “Chef’s Table,” “Celebrity Masterchef” and “Top Chef,” Khan is at work on “Tiffin Stories,” a series about food and memories. She is the author of two cookbooks, with a third one forthcoming. A public speaker, Khan is chef advocate for the United Nations World Food Program and a member of the mayor of London’s business advisory board. Awarded honorary fellowships by Queen's College and Oxford University, she holds a doctorate in British constitutional law from King’s College London. Khan’s recognition includes being named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2024.
