Catrina Cuadra is an Urban Innovation Fellow at Cornell Tech and a data science leader spearheading the New York City Department of Transportation’s flagship AI initiative, AI for City Streets, which automates pavement and roadway-markings condition assessment citywide. Previously, Cuadra worked at a consulting firm where she managed the data science and analytics team supporting the Medicare Plan Finder website. Her career spans the public, private, and academic sectors, with a focus on breaking down silos and enabling effective cross-sector collaboration. She is particularly passionate about resilient infrastructure and smart city implementation in the context of climate change, and she has launched human-centered data science programs at Dartmouth College and at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business’s Institute for Business in Society.
