Cellist with The String Queens
Élise Sharp is a cellist with The String Queens, a string trio imparting teaching strategies, first-hand experience, curriculum design, and pedagogy to arts teachers, schools, and students all over the world. She is also the director of the music program at a public charter school in the District of Columbia. Previously, Sharp was a cello instructor and ensemble conductor for the DC Youth Orchestra Program. She has performed alongside Whitney Houston, Tye Tribbett, Donnie McClurkin, Aretha Franklin, and Dionne Warwick, among others. In addition, she has performed for former Presidents George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama.
