Eugenia Kargbo is chief heat officer of Freetown, Sierra Leone, working to protect it from the effects of climate change. With experience in the sanitation, entrepreneurship, human resource management, data analysis, and emergency response sectors, she is also the sanitation lead at the Mayor's Delivery Unit of Freetown City Council. Previously, Kargbo held a senior management position at the United Bank for Africa. As part of her community-driven initiatives, she created NetworkMeSL, an online skills-development platform that provides employment and training opportunities for the youth of Sierra Leone. Kargbo is also a volunteer at Eagle’s Eye SL, an organization that seeks employment for unskilled residents of deprived communities.
