Josh Tyrangiel is a columnist for The Washington Post, writing about artificial intelligence. A 12-time Emmy and Peabody Award-winning producer, he created “Vice News Tonight” on HBO as executive vice president of news at Vice Media and has produced feature-length documentaries for HBO, Netflix and Apple TV+. Previously, Tyrangiel was chief content officer of Bloomberg Media, where he oversaw the company’s reporting across five continents, and editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, winning Advertising Age’s Editor of the Year Award and the National Magazine Award for General Excellence. Prior to this, he worked for TIME magazine in roles including deputy managing editor, managing editor for digital, national editor and staff writer. Earlier, he worked at Vibe and Rolling Stone and produced news at MTV.
