Professor of Digital Heritage at University of Amsterdam

Julia Noordegraaf is a professor of digital heritage at University of Amsterdam. She is also director of the Amsterdam Center for Cultural Heritage and Identity, where she leads the digital humanities research program Creative Amsterdam. Noordegraaf’s research focuses on the preservation and reuse of audiovisual and digital heritage and her published work includes Strategies of Display and Preserving and Exhibiting Media Art. Principal editor of the Cinema Context database on Dutch film culture, she leads research projects on the conservation of digital art and the reuse of digital heritage in data-driven historical research. Noordegraaf is a steering committee member of the European Time Machine project and RPA Human(e) AI.
