Managing Director, Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions
Kenneth Heijns serves as managing director at the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions. AMS Institute’s mission is to re-invent cities. The institute is a unique collaboration between the city of Amsterdam, Delft University of Technology, Wageningen University and Research and MIT. Prior to AMS Institute, Kenneth was executive secretary at TU Delft’s faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, the Delft Energy Initiative and Energy Innovation NL and held various positions as policy advisor and strategy consultant. Educated as a mechanical engineer at TU Delft, Kenneth has dedicated his career to knowledge enterprise design and cross border collaboration for societal impact, driving collaboration between society, government, industry and academia.
