Lamia Kamal-Chaoui is the director of the OECD Center for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions, and Cities, advising governments on cutting emissions, inclusive economic development, and managing the metropolitan database which covers data for 700 cities. Previously, she held senior positions at OECD, including senior advisor to the secretary general. Kamal-Chaoui also led initiatives there, such as the Roundtable for Mayors and Ministers and the Champion Mayors for Inclusive Growth Coalition, and fostered partnerships with the philanthropic and private sectors. Her recognition includes the Women's Economic Forum’s Women of the Decade in Enterprise and Leadership award.
