Professor María José Ferrari is the Chair of Hispanic Cultures at IE University, where she also founded the School of Humanities and previously served as head and vice dean for Academic Affairs. Her work focuses on the study and promotion of Spain’s cultural and intellectual traditions, with particular attention to the role of cultural exchange in shaping contemporary intellectual and social developments. She has over 15 years of international teaching experience across the United States, Saudi Arabia, and Spain, teaching courses in intellectual history, the arts, and cultural studies. Professor Ferrari is strongly committed to social impact and serves as a board member and vice president of the Spanish charity organization Nuevo Futuro, where she supports initiatives focused on social justice and the protection of vulnerable children.
