Matteo Lepore is the mayor of Bologna, Italy. Prior to this, he was Bologna city councilor for culture, tourism, and civic imagination. Previously, Lepore was city councilor for the economy and city promotion for seven years, and before that, deputy mayor in charge of international relations, city marketing, innovation, smart city, and digital agenda. Earlier in his career, he was head of the local development, innovation, and international affairs division at Legacoop Bologna, an organization of cooperatives, where he coordinated the development of communication projects.
