Nahashon Muguna is managing director of the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company in Kenya. A professional engineer, he has 28 years of experience in water utility management. Prior to becoming managing director of one of the largest utilities in east and central Africa in 2017, Muguna was the company’s director of technical services. In that role, he managed projects including the Third Nairobi Water Supply Project, funded by the World Bank and African Development Bank, and pioneered a department whose mandate is to improve access to water and sanitation to low-income areas of Nairobi. A member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya, Muguna has been a member of the World Water Council Board of Governors and the African Water Association Executive Board.
