Oriol Estela Barnet is general coordinator for Barcelona’s metropolitan strategic plan, since 2016. He is also the technical coordinator of the Barcelona-UPF Chair of Local Economic Policy and a faculty member of Ibero-American Center for Strategic Urban Development. Previously, Barnet was head of local economic development strategies at the Provincial Council of Barcelona from 2005 to 2016. He began his career as a consultant for local and regional governments in Spain and Latin America. Barnet is a member of the Barcelona Neighborhood Plan advisory board and the Barcelona Innovation Foundation scientific board.
