Pilar Frank O’Leary is Executive Director of Aspen Conexión, a policy program of the Aspen Institute focused on catalyzing the economic mobility and global impact of Hispanic communities. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Pilar led PFO Advisory Group, advising leading foundations and companies in the U.S. and Latin America including Meta, Blackboard, the Inter-American Development Bank, CAF Development Bank, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, Shakira’s Fundación Pies Descalzos and others. Previously, Pilar worked in the U.S., Europe and Latin America as a business, legal and nonprofit executive at Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Fannie Mae and other institutions. She is a graduate of Georgetown University (B.S., J.D.) and earned a certificate in Sustainability Strategies from Stanford University Business School. Among her recognitions, Pilar was awarded the Order of San Felipe Arcángel by the Colombian government (2018) and was knighted a Dame by the Parte Guelfa Order in Florence, Italy for her social impact and sustainability work (2023). She is a senior advisor at CSIS for their global prosperity and development program and serves on several nonprofit boards including the Meridian International Center Global Advisory Council and the Orchestra of the Americas Group.
