Rafał Trzaskowski has been the mayor of Warsaw, Poland, since 2018. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Civic Platform, and President of the Local Authorities Movement "TAK! Dla Polski" (YES! For Poland). Previously, he held government positions, including Minister of Administration and Digitization and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. From 2015 to 2018, he was a member of the Polish Sejm, and from 2009 to 2013, a member of the European Parliament. He also operates on the international forum as a member of the European Committee of the Regions; from 2022 to 2025, he chaired the Committee on Environment, Climate Change, and Energy. In 2019, together with mayors of capital cities of the Visegrád Group countries, he co-founded the Pact of Free Cities.
