Renée Frissen is the founder and CEO of OpenEmbassy, a data-driven and community-informed social enterprise assisting displaced people now living in Europe. An academic, social entrepreneur, and public speaker, she is a co-founder of the 10 Percent Club, a community of people donating a significant amount of their income to organizations based on the principles of effective altruism. Nominated as 2020 Amsterdammer of the year, Frissen’s honors include winning the 2017 University of Amsterdam alumni prize and the 2016 MIT Solve initiative. She graduated cum laude at the University of Amsterdam, studied at New York University, and was a guest researcher at Humboldt University of Berlin.
