Ryan Kurtzman is the Smart Cities Program Manager, City of Long Beach, CA, where he leads implementation of smart city projects, cultivates innovative partnerships, and develops city policies and procedures to protect resident privacy and streamline government procurement. Prior to this, he was a policy fellow for Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti, coordinating Great Streets Initiative streetscape improvement projects and advocating for equitable access to open space and parks programs. Previously, Kurtzman managed product development for Sol Vista’s energy-efficiency software platform and air emissions policy and compliance projects at the Environmental Protection Agency.
