Founder and President of World Enabled
Victor Pineda is the founder and president of World Enabled, building societies inclusive of people with disabilities and older people, and president of the Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments. A social-impact entrepreneur, human rights expert, and smart cities scholar, he was appointed by President Obama to the Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board. Earlier in his career, Pineda supported the drafting of the Dubai Disability Strategy and helped negotiate UN Habitat’s New Urban Agenda and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. He holds a PhD in urban planning from Luskin School for Public Affairs at UCLA.
