Zé Lobo is executive director of Active Transport, a Brazilian organization dedicated to quality of life through the use of human-powered vehicles in transportation systems. A founder of the Brazil Cyclists Union and World Cycling Alliance, he is a member of the Rio de Janeiro Citizens Council and Municipal Transport Council. Lobo has been a member of the Cycle Planning Group of Rio de Janeiro since 2003, linking civil society and government stakeholders and gathering data to achieve better cities for all. His recognition includes a Cycling Visionary Award at Velo-City 2013 in Vienna.
