Santiago Garces is the chief information officer for the City of Boston, MA. In this role, he leads the department of innovation and technology, striving to make it an engine of transformation by employing data science and human-centered design. He is also the co-founder of enFocus, a nonprofit creating innovative solutions for government and industry. Prior to this, Garces was executive director of the City of South Bend, IN. Previously, he was director of innovation and performance and CIO for the City of Pittsburgh, PA. He is a member of MetroLab’s steering committee and an advisor for ND-GAIN.
