Senior Vice President of Building Bridges Across the River

Scott Kratz is senior vice president of Building Bridges Across the River, a Washington, DC, nonprofit for social, cultural, economic, and racial equity. He works to transform an old freeway bridge into a park above the Anacostia River for recreation, environmental education, and the arts. Prior to this, Kratz was vice president for education at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. Previously, he was the associate director of the Institute for the Study of the American West at the Autry National Center in Los Angeles. Kratz began his career teaching at Kidspace children’s museum in Pasadena, CA. He is a board member of the Anacostia Coordinating Council and the Anacostia Business Improvement District as well as a steering committee member of the High Line Network.
