Tanya Clay House is executive vice president for campaigns and advocacy of the Hip Hop Caucus, a national nonprofit and nonpartisan organization connecting the hip-hop community to the civic process. She is also the co-founder and CEO of ClayHouse Consulting. Previously, House was the senior program officer for voting rights at the State Infrastructure Fund. Prior to this, she was the deputy assistant secretary for P-12 Education in the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Education. House is a board member of the American Bar Association, National Council on School Diversity, and National Bar Association, where she chairs the civil rights law section. Her recognition includes the National Bar Association’s 2021 Gertrude Rush Distinguished Service Award and NAACP’s 2021 Equal Justice Award.
