Tishaura Jones is the mayor of St. Louis, MO, the first Black female mayor in the city’s history. Prior to this, she was the treasurer of the City of St. Louis from 2012 to 2020. Previously, Jones served two terms in the Missouri House of Representatives, where she was selected as the first African American woman in state history to hold the position of assistant minority floor leader and, before that, appointed to St. Louis’s 8th Ward Democratic Committee. Earlier in her career, Jones was vice president of public finance for Blaylock Robert Van investment banking firm and adjunct faculty at the Anheuser-Busch School of Business at Harris-Stowe State University. A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, her dedication to public service has earned Jones accolades including from the St. Louis Coalition for Human Rights, St. Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association, and Lupus Foundation of America.
