Tracie Campbell is the senior health manager for the office of violence prevention of Mecklenburg County, NC. She is responsible for promoting public health strategies to reduce violence and promote the development, implementation, and evaluation of the county community violence strategic plan. Previously, Campbell was the injury and violence prevention program coordinator for pediatric trauma at Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center. There, she conducted bedside interventions with victims of violence and coordinated services to reduce risk and recidivism. A certified health education specialist with over 20 years of experience in public health and human services, Campbell has also worked in the fields of child protective services, HIV and STIs, and substance abuse.
